About Helmet for Heroes

Helmet for Heroes is a collaboration among distinguished Gutter Helmet Dealers across the United States, united in their commitment to support our country’s Veterans. The initiative aims to enhance the lives of Veterans by providing them with Gutter Helmet installations, ensuring they stay safe and off ladders. This gesture serves as a heartfelt expression of gratitude for their service.

The Event – A Day of Unity

To commemorate our nation’s Veterans, particularly on Veteran’s Day, selected Veterans receive a complimentary Gutter Helmet upgrade for their homes. This annual event brings together communities nationwide in a unique display of unity. Mr. Fix-It is honored to participate in this initiative, dedicated to enhancing the lives of Veterans in Virginia, one Gutter Helmet installation at a time.

The Makeover – Eligible Veterans

Every year, Mr. Fix-It selects a deserving Veteran from nominations submitted by friends or family. This Gutter Helmet makeover comes at no cost to the Veteran. Eligibility extends to all retired or active-duty Veterans. If you know a deserving local Veteran, we encourage you to nominate them for this special opportunity.

Who can Apply?

Any retired veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard) in the Virginia area is eligible.
